The first government-mandated car ever forced upon a U.S. manufacturer.

Isn’t it also the first government subsidized car foisted on the US public?

These public-private partnerships are getting way to common for my comfort. This is uncomfortably close to fascism.

That’s another reason to hate the government-mandated, horribly unsafe Volt. It’s also deeply subsidized. Each one costs almost $200,000 to make, using lavishly paid unionized workers in Detroit.
