Feds raid Texas secessionist meeting
The San Antonio Express-News ^ | February 23, 2015 | Dylan Baddour, The Houston Chronicle

It seemed like a typical congressional meeting for the Republic of Texas. Senators and the president gathered in the center of a Bryan, Texas, meeting hall, surrounded by public onlookers, to debate issues of the national currency, develop international relations and celebrate the birthday of one of their oldest members.

But this wasn't 1836, and this would be no ordinary legislative conference. Minutes into the meeting a man among the onlookers stood and moved to open the hall door, letting in an armed and armored force of the Bryan Police Department, the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, Agents of the Texas District Attorney, the Texas Rangers and the FBI.

In the end, at least 20 officers corralled, searched and fingerprinted all 60 meeting attendees, before seizing all cellphones and recording equipment in a Valentine's Day 2015 raid on the Texas separatist group....

>>The US actually has the highest amount of law enforcement per capita in the world.<<

We also have the highest incarceration rates in the world.

Frivolous laws on top of laws on top of laws.

The old Communist saw is that when three conspire together, two of them are police spies.

Hitler got his start when he was sent by the German army to spy on a small political party. He liked their message and pretty soon took over the party.

Back during the Cold War, supposedly one-third of the members of the Communist Party in the US were FBI agents. Now it is reversed--the Communists (or "Democratic Socialists") are in control so they plant informants in groups they are suspicious of.

serve a search warrant for suspicions of a misdemeanor crime

Did this warrant specify what was to be looked for? Or did it merely layout a guideline for a fishing expedition?

They don’t need informants when these folk are trying to create a public spectacle drawing attention to themselves breaking the law.

- - - -

The raid was a response to legal summons sent by Republic of Texas members to a Kerr County judge and bank employee, demanding they appear in the Republic’s court at the Veterans and Foreign Wars building in Bryan the day the officers stormed in. Jarnecke’s group, the subject of a half-hour YouTube documentary, maintains a small working government, including official currency, congress and courts.

“You can’t just let people go around filing false documents to judges trying to make them appear in front of courts that aren’t even real courts,” said Kerr County sheriff Rusty Hierholzer, who led the operation.

Well, there will be more. This saving the country from the right wing extremists will ramp up over then next year and will work up to show trials. The Revolution is past its midpoint. It is in control and the rest is mopping up and tying up loơse ends. There will be no Civil War, no Whites fighting the Reds and the Mohammedans.

Issuing subpoenas under some pretense of common law is pointless unless you have the firepower to back it up. The secessionists do not; the state and the Feds do. The Chinese dictator Mao was right when he said all political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.

In 1776, the colonies had independent militias, the elites who controlled the colonial legislatures were largely in favor of independence, and the British military, while the world's most powerful at the time, was mostly distant from the colonies. The British tired of their attempts to hold the American colonies and America became independent.

In 1861, the Southern states controlled their state military forces, the elites who controlled the Southern state governments were mostly in favor of secession, and the Federal military was small and scattered. Had it not been for the determination of Lincoln, the Southern secession would have been accomplished.

In 2015, no state controls more than its state police force and maybe a small State guard, the political and financial elites, whether conservative of liberal, think secession is abhorrent, and the Federal military is the world's most powerful, and largely stateside.

Reality is often ugly, but it is what it is.

If the documents they “served” were worded properly I don’t see how they would be illegal. If the wording was something to the effect of “requesting your presence” and was not demanding I see no problem with it. Those served would have been free to ignore it. If the ROT folks saw fit to pursue it further then their actions could have become illegal.

Well, in a way, that’s ok....because then it will work in any other state in the union...or disunion.

So native North Carolinians could actually become sovereigns as opposed to the carpet baggers who have interloped here....

The feds might not miss Hawaii’s 4 evs, but I bet they would turn it down based on losing 2 permanent locked in Dem senate slots.

So if daughters of the Texas revolution can secede, what power do the Feds have?

According to the article DHS had nothing to do with it. Texas and the FBI/DOJ were running this operation.

Same thing.

Too bad they don’t spend that kind of effort infiltrating mosques.

Wouldn’t make a ripple if they had told the officials to appear in a sharia court.

"simulating legal processes" . . . "fake court"

Those phrases imply that their are real courts and real legal processes. But, using the approach of progressives, let's insist that everything be based on "science". When you do that, all law and all morality become arbitrary shows of force. As the Left used to be fond of saying, "all political power comes out of the barrel of a gun."

The courts now explicitly reject ANY notion of divine law or natural law or "the God of nature", and their "reasonable man" standard is used to nullify any law with which judges disagree.

But "science" overthrows the "reasonable man" standard and returns us to the law of the jungle, and any legal documents put forth by the separatists are as legitimate as those of so-called "real" courts. They currently just don't have the requisite force to back them up.

What are the Feds going to do when this trickle of secessionists turns into a flood?

I don't know, maybe more of this.

armed and armored force of the Bryan Police Department, the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, Agents of the Texas District Attorney, the Texas Rangers and the FBI.

The feds are trying to create a situation where they can declare marshal law.

They raid kooks in an effort to create a fire fight and dead cops -— thereby creating public opinion against people who do not want to live under their tyranny.

"Even “loony-tunes” folk can go too far. They send out their fake, symbolic sub poenas and there’s no reaction. So, what do the loony-tunes do next? And after that? And so on. How long do we wait before it reaches a critical point?"

The government is pushing people to the critical point. When the federal government and state governments become lawless, arbitrary, and tyrannical, there are consequences. For God's sake, we have a business owner faced with $150,000 in fines for not serving a gay wedding. In America.

“nd yet Obama supports Hawaii’s own secessionist movement.”

The Hawaiians hate white people, too.

And they will ally themselves with China.

It’s a win-win for Obama.

They should have held the meeting in a mosque.
