And for the past 90 years she has been a tireless advocate for the nuclear family, for traditional marriage and for common-sense conservatism that resists injecting government into every aspect of our lives.

Boy, that Phyllis (born August 15, 1924) started early did she not.

There was one, though, so powerful and elegant, persistent yet graceful. Her name is Phyllis Schlafly. And for the past 90 years she has been a tireless advocate for the nuclear family, for traditional marriage and for common-sense conservatism that resists injecting government into every aspect of our lives. On Wednesday night, she will be honored at the Paul Weyrich Awards dinner that precedes the start of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference.

Phyllis Schafly is, quite simply, a great American hero. Oh, she didn't do it on the battlefield of war, but she has fought the good fight for over thirty years now. She almost single-handedly defeated the Equal Rights Amendment, fighting the President, Congress, and a lot of state houses and governors too. Glad to see CPAC honoring her.

BTW, Mark Levin is speaking Saturday morning at 8:30 at CPAC. Not the best time-slot but Mark's choice. Wish I could attend...

Phylis Schlafly was a female powerhouse long before Betty Friedan, Gloria Steinem, or any of those other "feminist" posers drew breath. She made her way through the sheer force of her logic and her integrity. She has been an iron ally in the fight against secularism, a crusader every bit the equal of a Margaret Thatcher.

What a woman!

Her voice is as relevant and strong today as it was more than a half-century ago when she made the famous case for Barry Goldwater’s conservatism in her great book “A Choice, Not An Echo.”

I have always respected Phyllis Schlafly and Barry. (Goldwater).

That’s IT!
I recently opined on another thread that rather than have Biden’s chair empty, for the lib media to gloat over during Bibi Netanyahu’s speech; an elegant, conservative, credible, honorable lover of Israel should be invited to fill the chair, for the camera to see during every second of Bibi’s speech. Lib skulls would be exploding everywhere. Ms. Schlafley would be perfect....what with the war on women, and all.

Outstanding speech for an American hero.

I have but one criticism, it never mentions Schlafley's fight against actions similar to the ERA by the UN.
