5) As to disabling an actively defended war ship... doubtful.

Carries are NOT different from Battleships. The Carrier Boys think so, but they suffer from the exact same vulnerabilities as the Battleship did.
Its an interesting play but its laughable to think that they could get anywhere near a carrier on open water.
