First openly gay player in NFL still hopes to find team (did he ever actually make the team?)
Sam will be joining the cast of "Dancing With The Stars" next season.
The St. Louis Rams selected the 25-year-old Sam in the seventh-round of the NFL Draft last season. He was released before the start of the season and signed to the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad in September before being waived in midseason.
Sam says he still wants to play in the NFL. But filming for the program begins in March, which could cause a conflict for Sam. The inaugural veteran combine, which would give Sam a chance to prove to potential teams he can play in the league, is scheduled for March 22.
Ex-NFL players have fared well on the program. Ex-wide receivers Donald Driver and Hines Ward have joined running back Emmitt Smith as past winners.
Was there a chance he would ever make the team? He was a draft affirmative-action quota, wasn’t he?
They will have to rename the show “Prancing with the Stars”.
He is a Dancing AA also. Will he be dancing with a man or a woman?

Affirmative action? I think it was just a matter of Saint Louis being the patron saint of hairdressers.
Did they add a new category - pole dancing?

He could do the macarena in every episode and still must win.

What does being an ex-NFL player have to do with Sam?
Maybe DWTS has a category for guys who couldn’t make it in the NFL. No doubt they’re all in high demand for these type shows.
So this guys claim to fame is that he’s a black butt nut that was almost good enough to play pro football.
His dance partner is Heywood J. Blowme.
I heard he wouldn’t let go of the pole after he scored so they let him go.

It had NOTHING to do with the phony “bravado” bootlickers like ESPN, MSM, et al pretended it to be
It was ALWAYS trying to capitalize on the fawning based upon a well-calculated timing of his “announcement” He made no secret in college as to his “orientation”
This latest gig is another example of what he and his handler$ were hoping for
