The U.S. military is shedding so many troops and weapons it is only “marginally able” to defend the nation and falls short of the Obama administration’s national security strategy, says a new report by The Heritage Foundation Tuesday.
“The U.S. military itself is aging. It’s shrinking in size,” said Dakota Wood, a Heritage analyst. “And it’s quickly becoming problematic in terms of being able to address more than one major conflict.”

Something that distinguishes leftist is their ability to be devious while in pursuit of utterly foolish, illogical, unrealistic goals.

I received a draft notice for Korea (married at the time) and ended up enlisting in the USAF. One of my best decisions.
I tell you, if Russia and China did a tag-team on us we’d be in a world of hurt.

I had to stop listening to Sean Hannity, as he had on Congressmen after Congressman (all Republicans) who would go on his show and tell us how great Sequestration was.
A few of were trying to get through to the truth of these cuts. Obama cut Defense deeply before Sequestration took $600 Billion in additional cuts over ten years. Obama cut the Defense budget by $437 Billion (supposed to be over ten years) starting in 2012, and he cut it previously by $330 Billion in 2009 to help "pay for" his criminal "stimulus."
Now we are facing World War III in the very near future, and our military is literally decimated.
I hope everybody is happy now.

They are just as much to blame
And of the 16 million registered, a substantial portion are physically unfit and vastly overweight.
Our military is just fine. We will just print out loads of posters and hand them to our enemies. The Army bases are covered with “I am The Force Behind the Fight”.
SHARP posters are also plastered all over, even the urinals have posters plastered in them. I think they spend more money on useless posters and anti-rape videos than on needed equipment.
And having identified those, the draft action can be modified to accommodate that fact. Either by drafting them first (if there is enough time) and sending them to provisional units that get them fit before they go to basic training. Or if there is not enough time, they can be deferred until later rounds of the draft. The point is the system would have that information.
Also it would work against the gun grabber’s agenda of disarming the population. Once these individuals get trained on firearms, the whole “guns are evil” attitude collapses.

In your opinion or my opinion, yes. In his opinion, things are working according to plan. Government growing, taking over the private sector. Political opposition has been neutered. Mideast is in turmoil with the advantage to Radical Islam. US is weaker. Military is weaker. Etc etc
