I care nothing about a bunch of self absorbed elitists giving awards to films few people care about while snubbing films a lot of people love. Movie going is at an all time low because of the lack of quality films and the ridicules price of admission and snack bar prices.
They call it the Academy Awards because the members of the Academy vote to determine.
OTOH, the People's Choice Awards is determined by public voting.
