While I certainly agree with the Prime Minister’s main thrust, in my opinion, out of respect for his his millions of Christian supporters, he should watch it with the use of the word “messianic.”

That word is specifically a Jewish and Christian word, not an Islamic one.

mes·si·an·ic : relating to or having the qualities of a messiah : supporting a social, political, or religious cause or set of beliefs with great enthusiasm and energy

Its use can be more generic and appropriate in some cases.
