That's a puzzling statement.
What would you call his years of Governor, except a long period of slings and arrows?
Just because he handled those arrows so professionally, making it look effortless, doesn't mean it wasn't, and still is, happening.
I'm a Walker guy, that doesn't mean you have to be, but it's disingenuous to day he can't handle the opposition when things are tough.
“Compromising is hard to do, some of the Walker sluts dove in early.”
What exactly do you mean by that? Is that directed at some of the Lady FReepers?
I agree with both of you. The bandwagoners don’t want to hear anything that isn’t rah-rah-rah.
Serious questions remain about what he would do as President. The illegal alien invasion being the most pressing.
Ignoring those questions leaves us ignorant.
Truth time
Is there anything Walker could say on immigration that you would believe?
If you buy an American newspaper...
If you watch network news...
YOU ARE MAKING A CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEMOCRAT PARTY...
What will they think of next?
I keep using this because it fits so well:
"Tom Seaver - he once borrow Chico's soap and no give it back"
What drove the GOP to defeat was their insistence on candidates that their voters found unacceptable.
It’s been amnesty vs amnesty for 4 Presidential elections in a row.
Let’s try something else.
65-70% of the citizens want the borders secured and the laws enforced. Maybe we should try that.
Yep, they wanted to fight ObamaCare by nominating the guy who practically invented it.
I was in Milwaukee last fall during the campaign and he took more crap than I have ever seen for any politician. The ads were pretty much "if you elect Walker, you are electing Hitler and all welfare will be cut off and women will be kicked out of the workplace forever."
It was extremely bizarre because I live in Dallas and heard dang near the same thing about Abbot -- the same campaign, the same HUGE issues on the line, the same HUGE response by the voters in support of morality and values represented by both GOP candidates.
I’m not solidly anti-Walker. But I would like to have more clarity from him on where he stands and how firm he would stand. For example, on an issue like homosexual marriage, Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal have stood firm. Rick Santorum stood so firm that his last name is now in an urban dictionary. Scott Walker however wanted to move on. It’s over. It’s the law of the land. It doesn’t matter what I think.
If he is wishy-washy now, how much more so will he be when he actually gets into office? I hope that he actually is as solidly conservative as some insist. I just doubt it that it’s so.

Yes we do — who is your candidate and what will you do if he/she doesn’t run or is not nominated?
bkmk
He could start by acknowledging his past position is wrong headed and he needs tell us why. So we at lest know he understands the problem. I want to know if he believes in the straw man argument “we cant’ deport 11 million” or if he knows that enforcement will lead to self repatriation.
I want my Republican candidate to be as ideological pure as the Democrat candidate is to his/her base.
Not necessarily. Just a vote for the candidate that’s NOT Hillary. But you’ve said you’re not going to do that. And that’s fine, of course. I do hope we nominate a candidate that covers all of our bases. But realistically that ain’t happening.
Either way, just think about having a strong conservative VP for a change.
Except Polio.
Thanks, I’ll admit that was a surprising answer.
Surprising good or surprising bad?
Walker is playing is right in my opinion. Let them attack and point out to everyone that they are attacking for purely partisan reasons.
