You may have missed the part where Neil Patrick Harris came out on stage in his underwear.
But I get the point - John Legend came out and played a nice sounding tune, I think mentioned God, while a nicely dress rapper convoluted the civil rights movement with Ferguson...and people in the audience were actually crying!?!?
Obviously there was the typical Hollywood filth but there was a lot of bizarre mixed imagery.
