I think the ISIS is now pretty much on the run and is not nearly as powerful as they were in the middle of last year.
The bad news is that once they are defeated that will lead the vast majority of the public to go back to focusing their attention on the latest TMZ scandal or going back to their cultural relativist attitudes and take an out of sight, out of mind attitude until the next incarnation of ISIS shows up and starts mass murdering across the globe.

This describes Ismael in Genesis but it can also apply to a certain religion that is at odds with just about every nation.
