Late Monday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will force the fourth vote in three weeks on a bill to fund the massive agency that protects Americans from terrorists, floods and incursions across the borders. Senate Democrats will almost certainly block it again. And after that, all of McConnell’s options become messy, with just four days left to avoid a partial government shutdown that some senior GOP lawmakers and aides now consider nearly unavoidable...

This is such a load of BS! If the ems don’t want to pass it, then it will be made obvious that they care more about ILLEGALS than homeland security. If it gets passed and goes to Obama who says he will veto—then it is on him that he cares more about ILLEGALS than US CITIZENS. Mcconnel needs to do a Reid and nuke the filibuster so everyone can go on record as to whether they support US citins or ILLEGALS.
Then we should fund them based on their success.

Stop the obstructionist’s, use the Reid Rule and abolish the filibuster, send the damned bill to Obama, over and over again. Force the Muslim to show his True Colors.
Homeland security are the proto Brownshirts. They will be getting the guns, armored vehicles and bullets; they are the domestic force 0bama spoke of that will be just as strong and powerful as our military. DHS has consistently characterized conservatives, gun owners, libertarians and veterans as the top domestic threat.
These guys will run (and are) internal checkpoints, border enforcement against citizens, abduction and disappearance of enemy combatants (anyone who opposes the government), and enforcement of martial law (high security events like the Superbowl).
We don’t need an Amerikan STASI, SS, or Gestapo.
Maybe it’s supposed to protect us from those things but it has not been used for that at all, but rather to facilitate that which it was designed to thwart.

How about using Reconciliation? I mean, the process was defined for use on BUDGET issues... Clearly, that’s what this is. At least make OBAMA do his own dirty work.
He can veto it, then explain to the people why he must have this extra money for stuff the courts say he can’t do.
Please abolish the SA, then we will not need the SS.
