Huh!  The BEA says the GDP price index is in deflation!

I’m seeing:

Gross domestic purchases price index... (1st) -0.3 (2nd) -0.1

There very well may be another stat called “GDP Deflator” that was in fact “- UNCH”, but the fact that there also exists another stat called “Gross domestic purchases price index” that is now measured to be -0.1% then I’d say we’re in deflation and and more negative interest rates are ahead.

btw, anyone interested in locking in good rates, I’m willing right now to borrow $100 and only charge $7.50 per month...

That’s best. Seems that word’s gotten out and things are now getting out of hand with folks calling all hours of the night wanting to loan me money. I even had to put a sign up saying that any packages of $100’s left while I wasn’t looking would be charged a 50% processing fee.

In all seriousness I can’t quite understand this. I can see charging a nominal fee but who in their right mind would buy a 10 year bond bearing negative interest? People used to shop around to see who paid the highest interest on T-bills. Now they will have to look to see who charges the least. Crazy ole world out there.
