Meanwhile, Walker, a leading Republican contender for the White House in 2016, said Saturday that he doesn't know whether Obama loves his country.
'You should ask the president what he thinks about America,' the Wisconsin governor told The Associated Press while in Washington for a weekend meeting of governors.
'I've never asked him so I don't know.'
Democrats have assailed Giuliani for questioning the Democratic president's love of country, and they urged the potential field of Republican presidential candidates to rebuke Giuliani for his comments.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, another possible 2016 candidate, said he didn't think 'it helps to question the president's patriotism or motives.'
Pence said in an interview that Giuliani is 'a great American' who is 'understandably frustrated with a president who lectures us on the Crusades, but seems incapable of calling radical Islamic violence by name.'
Walker was in the room for Giuliani's initial comments, but he had declined to weigh in until Saturday.
'Rudy Giuliani is perfectly capable of defending his comments,' Walker said.
'I know I love America. I know there are plenty of good Americans, Democrats and Republicans and undecideds who share that same belief.'
Asked about Obama's patriotism, however, Walker said, 'I'm unqualified to make that statement one way or another because I've never had that conversation with the president.'

In other words POSOTUS loves sh!t.
unprepared, that is an excellent answer.
Unfortunately I am unsure if my smart alec response after a little thinking would be much better: "I refuse to question the patriotism of someone who is still loyal to the Soviet Union."
What Rudy did in questioning Obamas love of country, whatever his motivation, is good for everyone. He stood up and said what needed to be said and what nobody else was willing to say, and Scott Walker shouldn’t just brush it off like it’s an annoying irrelevancy. If the man wants to be president, a REAL president, he should use this opportunity to further the discourse on this topic and not to let it die. Rudy needs support. This is important and the man should show leadership and deal with it.
Several Freepers keep pushing Pence, but I thought his comment was particularly weenie-ish.
“...Scott Walker shouldnt just brush it off like its an annoying irrelevancy. If the man wants to be president, a REAL president, he should use this opportunity to further the discourse on this topic and not to let it die.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if this entire episode was scripted by Walker and Rudy. Good cop, bad cop. I think they’re playing it perfectly. But the trick will be to extend the point to Hillary.
Fightin’ Scott Walker - I like it......
Its not time to ask the president about his patriotism. Its time to effing well impeach him.
Well past time to do so, but the "Parliament of Whores" don't have the "right stuff".
Well said! It is what I call the power of sin. There's no escaping it, no matter how much the denial that tries to escape accountability. The fantasy land on the Unicorn Farm does not cut the chain. Only by giving yourself to Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins are you set free.
That isn't a cop out. It isn't mind-reading, either, it just refers the questioner to the source of that information.
But it does say, subtly, that Obama has not made the answer obvious in the affirmative by actions or policies. If Walker had said Obama didn't love America, the Leftmedia would have been on him like the pack of dogs they are.
Amen.
It just seems to me that the magnitude of destruction dealt our country by Obama—through lying, stealing, cheating and more—calls for more than subtle responses.
That implies a sense of political awareness that will keep Walker in the running, despite attempts to twist his statements which will inevitably come if he is making progress toward the nomination.
For perspective’s sake—my criticism of Walker comes from only mild disappointment in him. I like Walker as a candidate. And you make very good points.
But we should all remember that the Alinsky set use tools which don’t truly belong to them. The tools of language. Their very ideology denies the essence of language, which is truth itself. So it can be turned around on them at every point of conflict.
The key is to act on confidence, not fear. Speak to the truth we know.
For example, we don’t need to read his mind to know it. All we need to do is observe his speech and his actions. We do the same thing every minute of every day, each time we interact with another person.
