I thought “Curves” was owned by a conservative or Christian woman, and came under fire a few years ago because they violated some liberal dogma.

Could be.. I was taking a shot based on recent history and the postt that I was responding to. It was to the effect of: “How can Curves get away with..(serving a selected clientele)?”.

"flies in the face of the growing mythology of the hateful, Christian business owner who refuses to serve homosexual customers."

I don't know about 'mythical'; I was just like that here in this same town (although I do pray for their souls to be saved, which is the true definition of 'love thy sinner').

Coersion of an individual into a binding contract that is not in their best interest (as the individual defines it), is involuntary servitude.

See 13A:

Section 1.Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a
punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly
convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject
to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by
appropriate legislation.

The government shouldn’t have anything to say about with whom anyone does business. Anti-discrimination laws are tyrannical. Before people get worked up about the possibility of racial discrimination, if it happened today, the business owner would pay a price in lost sales.

We aren’t a free people if we do not have freedom of association.

So this doctor in Michigan was just doing the lesbian couple a favor, steering them to a doctor whose beliefs were more congruent with their own. And the welfare of the child was IN NO WAY threatened.

We agree completely; however, the trend with homofascism is to punish anyone who dares either to stand up for traditional values or to tactfully withdraw for the sake of Christian ethics, no matter how compassionately they do it. There have been two or more cases of people who are almost finished their long slog of attaining a doctorate in counseling, and in the final year when faced with a homosexual client during their practicum, tried to refer them to someone who would be sympathetic to their "identity", and then were kicked out of the counseling program and denied their doctorate after all that work and investment. These cases have been settled in favor of the injured students, but after a killing drain on them and interruption to their career — and a blackball in academia lasts forever regardless of the court's opinion of what the b*st*rd fascists could or could not get away with.

Here's the famous flag of the Texas Revolution of 1835:
