Their message “struggles for clarity” because they couldn’t tell the truth and still get elected.

It was the normal cycle of the mushy middle. Party of the sitting president gets handed their butts in the second midterm unless the other party completely blows it (1998).

The Dems make sooo much noise about the Koch Brothers and the money they donate to GOP candidates.

I wonder when they’ll show the same concern about labor unions and trial lawyers and the large amount of money they funnel to Dem candidates?

Crickets...I’m hearing crickets...

They did plow an awful lot of time, effort and money into attacking a couple of guys who are totally anonymous to the vast majority of Americans.

The Koch Brothers thing is really funny on the internet. They really believe the Koch Brothers are behind every bad thing ever. Did you know that everyone on FreeRepublic, each and everyone of us, is employed by the Koch Brothers to post on the internet and spread their evil disinformation?

We all get checks from them. It's awesome!

I swear, Democrats are simply incapable of honest self examination. Yet again, they prove that they don’t have the capacity to inspect a failing area and determine the cause through analysis of real world facts.

If they actually surveyed the American public, they’d find that they lost the last election because the public hates, and is horrified, by their destructive policies, agenda, and actions in government.

But that would make too much sense.

Much better to dream up some cockamamie theory, then invest all of their problem solving into fixing something that has no relationship to their failures.

Let us hope they continue.

the focus on the conservative billionaires diluted a party message already struggling for clarity.

I don’t know about that. Their message was pretty clear to me.

We Democrats hate America,

think blacks can’t tie their own shoes without government assistance,

think Americans are stupid enough to believe man made global warming is the most threatening issue in the world,

think any criticism of Obama or his administration is all racially motivated,

think that income redistribution is the answer to income disparity,

think that wind and solar power can replace coal fired power plants

and that everyone should just do what we tell them because you all didn’t go to Harvard like we did.

They’re right. In Iowa, Joni Ernst was attacked as a Koch brothers stooge, which was only a bell for Pavlov’s Democrats. No one else cared. Some of the Democrat stooges even mistook Koch Brothers Office Supply in Des Moines for the billionaires and phoned in death threats.

I don’t think the analysis is completely off. While wildly attacking the Koch Bros. isn’t the whole reason for the results, it is a part of it, and symptomatic of a larger set of problems.
