We’re looking at a pretty late-season ICE STORM early next week here in Texas. This is unheard of.

Who knew that global warning would increase your chances of freezing to death just going to the 7-11 to get a pack of cigs?

GR just felt awful this morning. I could feel the cold seeping through the walls. Thankfully it isnt snowing!
I have no idea how anyone lived in this state in the 19th century. When summer rolls around (<- maybe), I swear I will be outside everyday thanking the good Lord for it!

Ahhh....metro Cleveland. The temperature has gone up 15 degrees, to +3. I’m quite impressed how well everyone is coping. There’s been very little impact on emergency services. Today’s rather nice, cold but dry. Tomorrow, a few more inches of snow are forecast.

Were looking at a pretty late-season ICE STORM early next week here in Texas. This is unheard of. Not really-- here in DFW a few years ago we had a few inches on Valentines Day. Also a few years ago we had a late Feb into March snow. The local kids did a little sledding. its infrequent but not unheard of this time of year-- maybe way down south texas.

Subzero temperatures here in western Ohio both yesterday and this morning. High thin clouds blocking the sun. Occasional very light snow showers. STill a lot of snow on the ground from last week, though.

The Newsweek cover was over a year before this one. I remember it well. I was in college, and picked it up in the library. I was laughing my arse off.
