I’ve been “plant-based” for 2 1/2 years now, and have never felt better, or had better stats at the doctor’s office. I’m just not an activist about it. It’s a personal choice. And yes... yes, I do miss bacon.

Here, have a salad:

As much as y’all don’t want to hear it... I’ve been “plant-based” for 2 1/2 years now, and have never felt better, or had better stats at the doctor’s office.

I’m just not an activist about it. It’s a personal choice.

And, yes, I’d eat meat in a heartbeat in a survival situation.

And yes... yes, I do miss bacon
I eat a ton of veggies and fruits, but people miss a lot of nutrients cutting out meats entirely. I think the best way is to eat as naturally as possible and keep everything in moderation. Big parts of the obesity problem are junk food and a sedentary lifestyle.

High carb diets benefit progressives AND the medical industry to boot!

Looks like my cat. Under these ground rules, my cats will eat more meat than I will.

My response: go pound sand.

I recommend that the Nanny Staters follow the beeswax diet and mind their own.

Sorry for the harsh language.

Freaking facsists. Electronic monitoring time spent in front of the TV is the same as Orwell’s Telescreens from “1984”. These fascists would probably not mind requiring webcams so they can make sure you are doing you daily gov’t mandated exercises just as in “1984”.

and electronic monitoring of how long Americans sit in front of the television.

Just in time for a generation that consumes all of it's video diversion on wireless devices and mobile phones.

BRILLIANT!!!!!!

Sorry, folks, my little transformer is all out of transformation. How about the feds mind their own GD business for once?

Totalitarianism: a political system in which the state holds total authority over the society and seeks to control all aspects of public and private life wherever possible.

I've looked everywhere in the Constitution and I can't seem to find the part that says that the Executive will be charged with ensuring that the citizens eat their daily recommended dosage of Brussels Sprouts. My plans for addressing this are moving from "what do I have to write my Congressman?" to "now many guillotines are we going to need?"

“Something tells me that our LIV’s and MUY’s would put up with a lot of things from the Feds. But monitoring how long they sit and watch TV and eat their highly processed ‘junk food’ while doing so, might be more than they would or could handle.

Especially if the food police or ‘nutritional interventionalists’ came busting through their doors to deliver a ‘stinging rebuke’ and a plate full of brussels sprouts.”

Their TeeVee’s will be doing the monitoring, spying on them as they sit on the couch eating junk food. But I doubt it will be necessary to have the Feds come busting through the door. Once the couch potato’s daily limit of viewing has been reached, the TeeVee will automatically switch to a show staring Richard Simmons and Michelle Obama touting the benefits of the federally mandated diet guidelines.

Anectdotes don't make science. We could find other people (in fact entire populations of them are known) who eat only meat and have great health.

I suspect in your case it's one of two things. One, you have a food allergy to something in animal foods that caused you to feel better after dropping them. Two, that there's actually something else you gave up or reduced as well and you are attributing the improvement to the wrong factor.

"And yes... yes, I do miss bacon."

The science tells us the bacon is good for us. Have some.

Actually, in the beginning, with Adam and Eve at Creation, mankind was vegetarian. After the Worldwide Flood, God gave mankind meat to eat. But, mankind will return to a vegetarian diet, once again during the world-wide government that Jesus, the Messiah of Israel sets up.

There was no fighting up any food chain. God is the one who set all this up. Mankind had nothing to do with it.

THAT is a mistake that many in this world make, thinking that they (or mankind) are in control, when it is God who is in control!

It is all about complete control, we eat the soylent green while those in control eat bacon and rib eyes. I just posted on another thread where russ feingold wants to be returned to the Senate. He proposed a bill in the Senate that would make ALL WATER in the United States property of the federal government. I wonder how he would vote when it comes to government controlling our diets?

I don’t want the government running the show, but a lot of people in this country eat like total morons. Couldn’t believe how many fat people live in small towns that I have seen through my travels. Too much fast food and too many lazy parents.

It’s their business if they want be unhealthy slobs, though. It’s also a good way of trimming the herd.

Ship the entire committee to North Korea where they can have their “plant based diet” - grass and tree bark.

At one time, in the past, that wasn’t a problem. After the judgement of the worldwide flood, God did give mankind meat to eat. And once again, in the future, being vegetarian won’t be a problem. For right now, we’re stuck in the meat-eating world, by God’s decree ... :-) ...
