Routh had “Psychosis State of mind”.

Reminds me of the song - New York State of Mind

I really pity Kyle’s wife .....first she had to endure years of deployments , with the very minimum of comm contacts and swift combat re-dploys . Then her husband is suddenly and brutally murdered , just when life was looking great . Then that scum sucking a-hole James George Janos ( janos the anus ) sues hr and Kyle’s estate and wins ! Now the murder trial and all the whining about the poor murderer and his mental state . What about Kyle’s wife and kid’s mental state ? I tell ya....

We live in Bizarro Obamaland now. Where a bakery owner is forced into bankruptcy for refusing to go against her religion. Where a widow of an American Hero is made to suffer at the hands of political correctness. I'm sure Routh is faking it. I read that he was an Islamic convert and the murders he committed were likely intentional.

I know very little about this case, less about the defendant and his state of mind/mental illness.

That being said, I do have up close and personal experience with serious and severe mental illness (dealt with my mom’s bipolar disorder - on and off the meds - for the last 20+ years of her life).

Of course everything he did was a decision. Folks who are mentally ill can still make them. They do every day. Even the ones gripped in psychosis.

That’s not the question, though. The question is really about how much and to what degree the mental illness has clouded the inputs to the decision making process.

From a legal standpoint the only question is whether he know his actions were wrong. If he knew it was wrong to shoot a person at the time he did this then he is guilty.

I have suspected that from the beginning, but have not seen anything in print. It was amazing how little about the perp has been revealed. This would support what you suggested. They know, but don’t want to give them credit.

I don’t care if Routh is sane or insane according to the law, he murdered two human beings with intent and prejudice. I want him convicted of capital murder (2 counts), sentenced to death, and fast tracked to the head of the line for lethal injection ASAP. Period. End of story.
