They’re trying it again with Senator Ted Cruz, which is amazing. He graduated with highest honors from what many consider to be the best law school in America, if not the world, and received a bachelors with high honors from Princeton. But many of the LIVs will buy it, just as they did with President Reagan and Governor Palin, both of whom graduated college.
Now, what does any one expect? All of these “JOURNALISTS???” came from JOURNALISTS??? schools being run by teachers that came from the “HIPPIE 60’s”, the majority of them were raised as LIBERALS, SOCIALISTS and COMMUNIST parents. Where most of us were working to put food in our mouths, these people were planning on the TAKE OVER our educational system. They’ve done their jobs well.
I figured it was about Reagan before I got to his name.
That’s what they do all the time. Tear down the one most able to get the country back on track. They either do that, or ignore the person completely.
Then the next thing they do is christen a candidate early on, then when that person gets the party nomination, they begin to put out a mass of articles daily about the person, and no stone is left unturned, including about the kids.
What made Reagan appealing enough to be elected was that he appeared to always be THE true grown-up in the room.
The Media and the GOPe try and usually succeed. Even here on Free Republic, some spew quotes straight out of Mother Jones about every candidate except their guy.
Don’t believe me? Just ask a question about the qualifications of any one of the ninetyleven Republican hopefuls. You will be called silly names and any candidate you support will be called everything except a Child of God.
As proof, just watch the comments on this column.
Par for the course, I say.
When DON’T they?
All I've seen are anecdotal reports.
Good Lord, how did we survive the founding of our country with such incompetence at the helm?
This is right. No one can listen to Reagan’s “Time for Choosing Speech” and not understand that he would fit right in with what the leftwing press call the “radical extreme tea party”. Those few moderates that try to say that even Reagan wouldn’t be welcome today by conservatives are just playing a game so as to get us to apply no standards and require no principles from those who seek the nomination as if being super rich and well connected should be the only thing that matters.
