Ol’ Hiram’s Goat”
Ol’ Hiram’s goat was feelin’ fine.
He ate six shirts right off the line.
Ol’ Nell came out and broke his back and tied him to the railroad track.
He gave six shrieks of mortal pain, coughed up those shirts and flagged the train!
It’s an old depression era ditty that my 98 year old Dad still sings to my grandchildren and their children.
Ol Hirams Goat
Sounds a bit like “A Mule Named Charlie” from my old “Bozo the Clown” 78 rpm record
