President Barack Obama affirmed on Wednesday his administration's belief that the religion of violent extremists savaging Iraq and Syria is not relevant and should not matter.
There is 'no one profile of a violent extremist or terrorist,' Obama said at the White House's summit on counter-terror measures. 'There is no way to predict who will come radicalized.'
'We are not at war with Islam,' Obama asserted. 'We are at war with people who have perverted Islam.'

That statement illustrates total misunderstanding.
ISIS, AQ, Moselm brotherhood etc are the counter reformation. Modern Islam is like the gradual reformation into a religion that can exist in a 21’st century world. Islam was reformed into a more tolerant, more populous, less rigid form.
Free Republic dogma aside, there are hundreds of millions even billions of Muslims that do not ascribe to the Islam of 1400 years ago.They are not the radical extremist wascos of Isis

Tonight I heard Franklin Graham saying that the quran does say that beheading is fine, killing is fine, etc. I think it was during O’Reilly’s Talking Points. O’Reilly then proceeded not to drive the point home, calling them “fundamentalists”.
I wish they would point out that an “extreme” or “fundamentalist” Christian would forgive everyone, lay down his life, love the unlovable, etc.
