Municipal ID law has ‘delete in case of Tea Party’ clause

Back up the shredders — the Tea Party could be coming. The city’s new municipal- ID program allows for personal info provided by applicants to be destroyed at the end of 2016, in case a conservative Republican wins the White House and demands the data, the law’s co-sponsor told The Post on Monday.

City Councilman Carlos Menchaca (D-Brooklyn) said the measure was crafted so data submitted by those seeking the cards can be destroyed on Dec. 31, 2016. The cards are aimed at undocumented immigrants. “In case a Tea Party Republican comes into office and says, ‘We want all of the data from all of the municipal-ID programs in the country,’ we’re going to take the data,” he explained.

The next president assumes office Jan. 20, 2017.

But they keep the firearm records forever.

We are a banana republic now.

There's got to be an existing law against this sort of thing...
Is New York that corrupt?

The data would also reveal those who are criminals, then again that would be all of them; would it not.

Of course there’s a law against it, but that won’t stop the democrats.

The simple answer to that would be to invalidate and revoke all municipal IDs and detain anyone with them for an immigration check.

Besides, knowing how sloppy government is they will either forget to delete the data on a hard drive or they will have sold the data to a marketing company.

When they were pushing the interstate voting compact here in Michigan it was written with an opt out clause. It didn’t come right out and say it but we all knew it meant in case of a likely republican win, we would opt out and make the republican win the hard way.

Thanks for that tidbit Councilman Menchaca. Seeing he’s a Democrat was that a slip of the tongue or did he realize how it would look to the public if they found out about it and decide to come clean? The fact that they were going to do that says maybe we should go ahead and take a look at the records now.

There is a law against it, yes.
New York brought you Tammany Hall and Boss Tweed.
The democrats a year or two ago said they had to “emulate” Tammany Hall and Boss Tweed.
So of course the corruption flows.

“Is New York that corrupt?”

Just as corrupt as a liberals genome. I think that whole
northwestern communist block U.S.A. is sitting on an ancient
alien toxic dump. Something is just not right with those
people. They are like Mexico.

It’s too bad leftists are never shamed by their hypocrisy.
And even worse that we keep expecting them to be.

Well, a constitutionalist would know that the federal government has no authority to order local governments to hand over data like that.

Government versus the citizens.

individuals need to be held accountable for this kind of travesty.

“It’s too bad leftists are never shamed by their hypocrisy.”

Liberals are like muslim terrorists they have no shame because
they are convinced that we are the enemy. I seriously doubt
they would stop at beheading if they thought they could get
away with it. Best to equate them with the WWII Nazi’s
because that’s what they really are, fascists.

Hmm. Sounds like a good idea. Let’s have a “Clinton Law” too where all FBI records of Republicans get shredded on that same date if Hillary! manages to win the White House.

Well, a constitutionalist would know that the federal government has no authority to order local governments to hand over data like that.

A constitutionalist federal government would also know to get a warrant to seize the data then send in the FBI to do so.

I’m guessing here:

Of course there are laws against this.
The democrat doesn’t care because his higher ups will make sure they don’t apply to him.
