My dad had polio when he was a kid. They said he would never walk again but he is a very determined man. However, he does have a seriously mangled leg that probably won’t support him much longer. He is in his 70’s now. I understand why some families don’t want to vaccinate their children. There are religious purposes/aborted fetal cell issues in some. I don’t care. After seeing/hearing what my father went through, I’ll definitely do most vaccinations for my kids! Skipping the Gardisil for the girls.

I did not know that a casual friend had polio when she was a child until she started limping. She told me that she had “ post polio” a return of the polio she had in her youth. Maybe your father is suffering from post polio.

We had serious reservations about Gardisil when it was first made available. Then, we asked several physicians with daughters who were classmates of our daughter, if they had their daughters vaccinated with Gardicil. All of them said “yes.”. That was good enough for us.
