“The older aged folk dont care, because theyll be dead and gone so it wont matter for them.”
You could not be more wrong. The “older age folk” are most likely the ones who will really fight. I’m 64, a Vietnam vet (USAFSS: Air Force Intelligence; but not in-country), and there are a great many just like me, who love this country, and who will not “go gently into that good night.” We will fight, with every muscle and fiber of our being. Yes, our eyesight is not what it once was (but still good enough), and we have lost a step or two in our agility, and we don’t have the stamina we once had, but don’t count us out: Because we are older, we are far more apt to “stand our ground,” and will not surrender. They will have to run over our dead bodies; our cold, lifeless hands still clutching our weapons, broken or empty, to even get close to those we love.
Totally agree with your comments regarding “older folks”.
Yep. Because the older ones actually experienced freedom earlier in their lives.
