That’s certainly the conventional wisdom. But I think it is wrong. Elect outside the box.

Then you like amnesty for illegal aliens.

I’m not voting for that.

Ted Cruz & Scott Walker are the only two worth anything, the rest are a waste of time & space.

Great combo but in reverse order...we need a Governor as president, not a senator...Governors do things, senators vote on things that others have done.

Come on guys! The best GOP candidate is Mike Pence. Check him out.

Pence would be great but nobody knows who he is...Mitch Daniels, on the other hand would be even better and he has national name recognition....and I live in Indiana!!

where did you find that info?

I just searched for his positions and found nothing that indicates amnesty. I did see a favorable position for bringing in migrant workers and returning them after harvest. That is not amnesty.

Walker worries me on Amnesty, and I’m not sure I would trust any claims that his views had “evolved” toward supporting the rule of law. Any candidate who thinks criminals should be rewarded for their crimes is a non-starter for my vote.

Oh please, you haven't been paying close attention as to how he handled the criminal union movement...he ate them for lunch....he has no time for illegal nonsense.

I always prefer someone with a certifiable record of accomplishments over an orator, no matter how much I like what he says.

Of the top five I’d say that Paul is the one most likely to self destruct. I think it boils down to Bush vs. Walker for the establishment and Rubio vs. Cruz for the non-establishment votes. And I just don’t see Rubio besting Cruz.

Oh no! Not another Bush! Is this one going to wear a crown now that the family name has been established?

That's really a very unfair statement...he is not another Bush, he is a different Bush, a different person who should be judged on his own merits. Bill Gates is not his father, I am not my father....etc.

an ex- Senator that is now is President is doing a whole damn lot ...if conservatives could elect a Senato to become President and he does half as much as the current ex-Senator has done we’d be jumping in the streets for joy ...

that Senators can’t do things as President is the most bogus and easily disprovable argument on the planet, ...just watch the news...or pay your health insurance bill ...or count the number or illegals in the country...the current ex-Senator has done damn enough

Successful Governors make the best presidents - and my first choice - I like Walker and Perry.

Because Romney was such a huge success. </sarcasm>

I’d say that Schwartzenegger is a whole lot worse than 80 to 1.

I may not agree with all his positions, but I believe, overall, Romney would have been a good president.

yeah, but the pubbies don't have a senator that is 100% evil, hates this country, is a muslim, lies constantly, and is totally useless....

Other than this jackass, there haven't been too many presidents who came from congress that were really successful....Governors, because they have and use authority in their office. Obama was a setup from the beginning and I'm not certain that it wasn't the folks from the middle east who set him up....please don't use him as an example of anything because his situation is UNIQUE
