A city councilman in Washington D.C. is pushing to have the citys only public university renamed after former mayor Marion Barry.
Councilman Vincent Orange, a Democrat, argues that Barry is a worthy namesake for the University of the District of Columbia because he was the schools biggest champion during his life.
