If it’s a precedent in the law, why won’t it work for EVERYONE?
This also might cause a “dreamer” to be deported. This makes me sick. This Administration and it’s War on American citizens. They don’t even HIDE their WAR anymore.
The next incident of a DRUNK Illegal DRRIVER that KILLS a citizen because of his(her) driving Drunk should cause the BPAgent to be arrested, the Drunk to be arrested, and the Idiot tha issued the Order.
They are able to stop DUIs that even Ray Charles can see are drunk. And they do. . .but they would rather be catching smugglers and illegal aliens.
The issue of DUIs usually is related to BP checkpoints that are placed among major corridors where smugglers and illegal aliens are shipped, and when a DUI vehcle rolls up and the driver is obviously drunk, the BP detains and calls the locals for pick up.
It is not like the BP are off the beat to arrest and process a drunk driver, they detain at the checkpoint, park the vehicle, take the keys and go back to the checkpoint and do their job until the locals arrive.
In many places there is a very close relationship between the BP and the locals, not only for DUIs, but for calls involving violence. . .a local sheriff's department midnight shift doesn't have many officers and BP may be the nearest to support. I’m sure that you are right, some very good folks on the Border Patrol. But, their leadership, particularly at the political level is another story. People with power tend to use it, and some will over use it. We have seen it with the BLM, Forest Service, and others. It’s a slippery slope.
While on jury duty the week of 12/11/06, one of my fellow jurors told me that her nephew was killed a year earlier by two illegals DRIVING their truck with FAULTY BRAKES to the BRAKE SHOP to be repaired when – surprise, surprise — the BRAKES FAILED AND THEY KILLED HER NEPHEW. I guess these MORONS thought they were back in Mexico where – in addition to driving DRUNK — they and their idiot friends do crap like that all the time. Can you say “Tijuana Taxi?” Can you say “TOW TRUCK?”
The driver got 4 years in a cushy American prison – compared to the hellholes in Mexico – at an average cost to taxpayers of $30K/year and will be deported (MAYBE) when he gets out. Her nephew will still be dead!
Gotta wonder how long it will take him to sneak back in and kill someone else?

I can’t wait until the interstates start filling up with Mexican truckers on tight deadlines – and I do mean DEADlines – hurtling at carloads of unsuspecting native-born American citizens – all 387 of us.

Of course, unlike the rest of us, they are driven everywhere by an ARMED SS detail, which eliminates the risk that they will be mugged or raped or be struck by a vehicle driven by an illegal. It also guarantees that said illegal will leave the scene in a BODY BAG!!
