I respect the Governor’s accomplishments and hold nothing against him about not finishing. OTOH, I told people for years that the college degree was merely the piece of paper that keeps the door from closing on you. It’s the price of admission and consideration for many jobs. It only proves that you could persevere to achieve a particular result. It is no guarantee of either success or smarts.

There certainly is truth in that. But then you need to get out into the real world (or go back to the real world). So many academic elites live their lives in a bubble.

Walker has been successful. The Left will not tolerate that.

Agreed.

I've numerous friends and relatives...that have BA's, MA's..and know nothing. And can't find jobs.

I know M.D's and D.O's that can't think critically.

Yes, I never understood who decided that entry into the job market was going to be done with rules that mimic the AKC (American Kennel Club). If you don't have the proper papers, you can't enter the ring.

Ditto that. It is exactly why I went out and got one and those very things you cited paid off for me in my career. Without that degree, I would have never been given the opportunity. But I can't truthfully say that I could not have done the same without that degree. The 'Sheepskin' just gave me the opportunity to do it.

Some of the smartest, most accomplished people I have ever known never took a college course.
