Putin gets his toehold in eastern Ukraine - held for him by his proxies - legitimated, and that toehold and Ukraine’s energy needs, and his proxies continued push in eastern Ukraine, will show the people of western Europe their leaders are spineless fools. Putin has not been stopped. He’s been given a legal resting period, after which his push against Ukraine and the Baltic states will resume in strength again.
Putin is going nowhere unless we try again to get another country bordering Russia to join the EU or NATO.
