It is utterly ridiculous and misleading to believe that Marines evacuating a chaotic hot zone, would be put on a commercial airliner, which is the impression the state department wants to give. Of course it was a “commercial” plane because it was “contracted” from a private “commercial” company rather than a military government owned aircraft. This is how this state department operates, they use words like commercial plane so that when the news breaks they can give the impression of Marines sitting on a United flight with guns across their laps, next to a toddler.
