The Obama administration is expected to formally announce a new cybersecurity agency Tuesday afternoon, following a string of high-profile cyber-attacks on U.S. companies.

A senior administration official told Fox News the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center (CTIIC), modeled on the National Counterterrorism Center, is part of "a comprehensive strategy" to tackle what it calls "one of the gravest national security dangers that the United States faces."

The official said the center is being established by presidential memorandum, under authority from a 2004 intelligence law. According to the administration, they plan to use existing funds in the 2015 budget and are requesting another $35 million in the 2016 budget proposal for the agency.

Anybody remember the “Toys” movie starring Robin Williams.

We’re going to need just a little more space.

So grave they ignored it for years.

Unless you count the billions spent by Obama on spying on ordinary US citizens.

So now we’re going to have a bunch of government lackeys running amok though all of our computer systems. I thought the NSA already was doing that. Think of the TSA and the DHS taking over your IT department. If that thought doesn’t make you cringe in fear, or piss you off to no end, you’re either brain dead, or a flaming liberal stooge.

Five second comprehension rule applies to this one. Blog Cops of the government and progressive lobby foundations to target it's enemies.

The formal name will be the “General Electronic Security Threat Assessment Processing Organization”.

Anyone got any ideas for acronyms for this thing?

I find it odd that identity theft is no big deal, but the threats of a robust tea-party is. Since Obama knows that Islam only produces peace loving freedom seekers, I assume that the cyber threat he is concerned about is FreeRepublic, Drudge, Brietbart and Ted Nuggent. Oh and the Joooooos!

BY WHAT AUTHORITY CAN HE INVENT AN AGENCY? He can oversee operations of agencies which is his function to manage the Executive Branch but I see no authority given him to create them.
