This was just an idealistic kid hoping to help some people who were suffering. And you’re sitting back in your comfortable chair, letting us know how much safer life is if you never leave your house.

A lot of people will accuse you of 'blaming the victim', but you're absolutely right. Obviously, she didn't deserve to die and the murderers are to blame for what they did. On the other hand, I'm astonished by how stupid and naive people like this are, thinking that going into one of the most violent and barbaric regions of the world is just another safe, fun, Peace Corps-type vacation to add as a "life experience" on their resumes.
