More than a dozen congressional Democrats say they plan to skip Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus speech to a joint session of Congress amid conflicting signals over whether he will pull out from the March 3 address.
Netanyahu struck a defiant tone during a campaign event in Israel on Monday, saying he was determined to present the case for why Israel opposed the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran before the members of Congress and the American people.
This is not a political issue or a party issue, neither here nor there. This is an existential issue, and I approach it with the fullest responsibility, he said.
But multiple reports on Monday suggested that his office was weighing ways Netanyahu could alter his plans to mend what has become a tough diplomatic breach, and the Israeli leader did not explicitly mention the speech to a joint session in his public comments.
The White House has expressed frustration over the speech, which was scheduled by Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) without consulting the administration.
Aides have said that the move was a violation of protocol both because the White House wasnt involved and because it comes just two weeks before Israels own elections a concern President Obama raised again Monday during a press conference.
I think its important for us to maintain these protocols because the U.S.-Israeli relationship is not about a particular party, Obama said.
Netanyahu has come under some criticism in Israel for politicizing the U.S.-Israeli relationship, and some of his public comments on Monday appeared aimed at combating that criticism.

The party of Jew Haters.>>>>>>>>>
The Dems are reaping the wages of the illegal meddling in Israel’s national elections. They cannot manipulate the great warrior and protector of Israel, Benjamin Nethanyahu, who has inherited the mantle of Leader of the Free World, abandoned by Obama by his 2008 Cairo Speech.
This meddling is actually an impeachable offence, and of course the Dems will boycott Nethanyahu, because he may very well put paid their interference with Israel’s democratic process, like the little nationalist socialist fascists that the Dems have themselves become. Their cry is not “Zeig Heil!” but rather “That’s Racist!”, which is essentially the same thing, the ultimate demanded apology for all of Obama’s sick, often illegal, policy crimes.
Lets hope Nethanyau exposes Obama and his running dogs for the extorting thugs they truly are. And may he be proteceted from the predations of the Obama Chicago hit squads that without doubt could take Bibi’s life.
As a matter of fact I am sure they are already being directed NOT to cover his visit.
And still American Jews will vote dem and send their money to the party that gives Israel the shaft.
The fear of truth is palpable.......
The question becomes, can the congress in some way take advantage of all the missing democrats?
Meanwhile ayatollah obama has his team in Isreal trying to defeat Bibi....
Someone needs to make a poster that says, “I can’t stand the truth” and set it in each of their chairs....
Leave it to race baiter Luis Gutierrez and socialist Sanders to join forces with the lockstep, 0bola boot lickers CBC.
” This meddling is actually an impeachable offence,”
GOPe....
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Basically blacks are going to boycott... blacks who don’t like Jews, whites, Hispanics, Korean grocery store owners, Indian grocery store owners... or anyone who works to own a business or is from a country other than Africa or the Arab ME....
I’m glad their boycotting - it shows their true colors - and I’m NOT talking about ‘black’...
I can’t even imagine the daily headlines and media handwringing if it were the GOP who was boycotting a Jewish Leader.
Bibi’s not going to cancel the speech because blacks (who tend to side with radical Muslims anyway ) are going to boycott. Why should we care if angry blacks boycott? Give me one reason - I’m curious...
I slept a good night thinking about the good people on FR, like you, willing to think and pursue truth.
