I would venture that virtually every sane American is utterly disgusted by the abomination that is same sex”Marriage”.There is no where in this country where this issue has won a referendum-

I don’t believe most Americans favor same-sex “marriage.” But what do I know, I’m living here in a red state where the Slimes doesn’t get their poll takers in very far to assess the knuckle-draggers and homophobes.

The will of the minority as usual. And what section of the Constitution says gay marriage is okay? Pelosi likes to point to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” as her argument. Unfortunately for her it’s the Bill of Rights which was the breakup letter to England.

support in well-educated metropolitan areas, like Seattle, Washington, Minneapolis and Raleigh, N.C.

Not my idea of well educated metropolitan areas.
Liberal cesspools is more like it.

If the Supreme Court rules this year that same-sex marriage bans are constitutional, such bans could endure in the South for years or even decades.

Well, let's hope SCOTUS makes the right decision then.

And it wouldn't surprise me if the South held out indefinitely. If you get past the initial PC stampede, you're sort of home free I would think.

And will the SCOTUS rule that a dog has five legs, if you consider the tail a leg?

Large areas of the country remain overwhelmingly opposed to same-sex marriage,

That is not acceptable; RE-EDUCATION CAMPS!!!!!! No one may be allowed to have a diverse opinion; unless they are muslim....

The emerging national majority in favor of same-sex marriage is built on high levels of support in well-educated metropolitan areas, like Seattle, Washington, Minneapolis and Raleigh, N.C

Apparently you have to be schooled in the "new morality" that says bug chasing and bath house sex are "the new normal".

“The emerging national majority in favor of same-sex marriage is built on high levels of support in well-educated metropolitan areas, like Seattle, Washington, Minneapolis and Raleigh, N.C. ....The stark divide between well-educated and less-educated areas is perhaps most clearly illustrated in North Carolina.”

Well that’s certainly a smarmy, smug, thoroughly elitist thing to write. What a derpwad.

Public opinion surveys show that a majority of adults — and a growing one — now supports same-sex marriage.

Last time I looked, the support had leveled off and was being trimmed back a bit.

Gay Marriage Support Falling (from September of 2014)

So...while the evil one may be winning in courts, he is not winning in the end.

The byline of this article is: “You hick unjukated conservtive rednecks won’t support gay marriage”.

We smart progressive city dweller do.

The fact is there are just as many low info people in cities as in rural areas.

Amazing that there is a state that retains some common decency

My home state has become such a moral cesspool - maybe I need to start looking at relocating.
