I think the penny dropped for me when Brian's excuse was he "misremembered" being shot down. Really? How many people who are shot out of the sky and live to tell about it forget about what happened? Second, is that even a word?
The end result for me is: I'm done with NBC news. I've been a loyal watcher since the Huntley-Brinkley Report days, but they've blown it. The fact that NBC didn't fire his ass within hours of finding this out just pulled the plug.
