Last night, I read this blog post and felt nauseous. It’s horrible. A woman named Lana admitted to aborting her child because she was going to have a boy. She also said if this “curse” returned (i.e. finding out she’s pregnant with a boy) she would do it again. This comes after she proudly states she has a healthy 1-year-old girl, who will “be just as strong and driven as her mother.” Nothing wrong with having girls, but sex-selective abortion–or any abortion–is especially wrong.

She means “just as demented and murderous as her mother”.

This lady is a thruster short of a warp-drive.
Then again, could this be an elaborate blog to troll conservatives? There’s no mention of the father, who I’m sure wasn’t supportive of Lana’s reasons to abort. …If for real and not a troll blog, it is very likely that “Lana” may not know the father’s identity.

The article seems to harken back to a casual encounter with someone she met on a plane. Maybe her memory is deficient because they didn't bother with the motel route and simply availed themselves of the airplane bathroom. I wonder if she calls him misogynistic because he gave her a male baby, or if she was attracted to him because something told her he didn't like women?

If “Lana” really thought so little of herself as to join the mile-high club with a so-called “misogynistic suit jockey”, that makes her just as misogynistic along with her blatant misandry, thus making her a misanthrope overall.

I don’t get it. She hates men enough to kill her child just for being one, but she gets close enough to them to get pregnant — twice. She’s evil AND crazy.

As awful as this is, we do need to put it in some perspective.
Folks in China have been aborting their girls in favor of boys ever since the one-child-policy started a few decades ago. Chinese parents want a boy (it’s a cultural thing) and so they abort their girls.
The ratio is now about 120 boys born for every 100 girls. That works out to about 3 million missing girls a year. Millions.
