Snow sets historic records in Boston Boston breaks record for snow in 30 days

The "snowmaggedon" of the past two weeks will almost certainly move Boston into the top 10 snowiest winters of all time Monday.

"It's like the Energizer Bunny. It just keeps going," said Storm Team 5 meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon.

The seemingly never-ending snowfall will give Boston over 73 inches for the winter, passing the 72.9 inches that fell during the winter of 1903-1904.

As of 7 a.m., 66.3 inches had fallen this winter season at Logan Airport, where snow is officially measured.

"For the past 14 days it seems like we have had a constant snow removal operation in Boston," said Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.

Boston also set a record with the most snow in 30 days with 60.8 inches.

The prior record was the 58.8 inches that fell before, during and after the Blizzard of 1978. However, this time that record was set in 17 days, not 30.

There has been so much snow here in Porltand Maine that a sidewalk snow plow got stuck in front on my house. Need to be towed back 30 feet so he could reposition to run down the sidewalk.

I don’t know how you people put up with all that snow. Of course, we couldn’t handle that level of snow down here or we’d turn into the Donner Party en masse.

I simply want to have every single one of them horsewhipped.

Thing is, nobody will ever throw this back in their faces, this insane “snow will disappear in just a few years” statement. Somehow everyone will FORGET these idiots ever made this kind of stupid, idiotic, ridiculous claim.

It makes me think of Orwell’s “memory hole”, but what is even more disturbing, is that even though it CAN’T be shoved down the memory hole due to the distributed nature of the Internet, the MSM WILL shove it in theirs, and a huge volume of the sheep out there will just go along with it.

Good grief. From your comments, you would think every other state in the Union is somehow exempt from lawmakers who parrot this global warming stupidity.

I can tell you that isn’t so.

We get a threat of an inch of snow and it's pandemonium with people running to the supermarkets and clearing the shelves. An inch.

“threat”

Consider yourself blessed. When the threat becomes real on a daily basis, egads.

There was a story today that they’re going to start dumping snow in the Boston Harbor - there’s no place else to put it.

Of all time? My, my. A little bit of an overstatement? There were quite a few snowy winters in that region long before there were humans there to take note of them.

Exactly what is it that Kirk, Dilbert or I wrote that relates to LAWMAKERS in other states, or global warming in a national political context for that matter? Just curious. Your comment seems like a non sequitur and irrelevant to me.

If you’re saying the rest of the country is not like Boston that’s not much a news flash for anyone.

No, that isn’t what I am saying. Everyone on this thread talks as if the only place in this country that has POS lawmakers (or even people in general) who support a global warming agenda is the Northeast.

The newsflash is that these people are everywhere, not just in Boston.

There was a story today that they’re going to start dumping snow in the Boston Harbor - there’s no place else to put it.

Here in Maine that is prohibited except snow that is directly adjacent to the water, i.e. on the piers etc. A local liberal blogger has pointed out that these evil people who have plowed snow off the piers has “ruined the livelihood of our sainted lobstermen and somehow it is the State Dept of Environmental Protection (We have a Republican Gov. so this is his fault). The snow froze in the water and lobstermen found ice over a foot thick trapping their boats in and making it impossible to navigate them away from the wharves.

So the lobstermen who did not make sure their boats were accessible to the open water are not at fault, but state rules that allow snow to be pushed into the water. Said rules have been in place since liberal Angus King and Dem John Baldacci were governor, yet only now is it the state’s fault.

IMO its God punishing them for electing elizabeth warren and the other God hating, pro-gay, pro-abortion communists.

Don't forget soviet Red Hampshire, where they re-elected pro-abortion and pro-sodomite Governor Maggie Ha-ssan, Congresswomyn Anne Kuster, and Senator Jeanne Shaheen.
