Yeah, I find the “eventually kids will never know anything different” line to be the most offensive part as well.
It’s straight out of Orwell. But he was saying it as a warning, not as a good idea. Basically it’s the “we’ll just dig in and wait you out and there’s nothing you can do about it” philosophy that Khruschev stated with his “we will bury you” comment and Oprah with her “ white conservatives will eventually die off” one.

I can see where this imposed diet coupled with banning brown bag importation of delicious lunches could lead to bullying quite easily as the bigger kids will demand from the weaker ones whatever item they find most palatable in the sparse offerings. The only alternative that will relieve this will be a thriving smuggling operation.

By 5 they know what they like and dislike. Change in ones eating habits comes about 30 yrs old.
Nor does this lunch plan allow for the difference in what a male/female/athlete require per meal. And why in the world is lunch at 10 AM? They just had breakfast at 6:30 am and should not be that hungry until about noon.
