AGW alarmists assert that there is "something there" when the evidence doesn't support that conclusion. Are you also asserting that there's something there with no evidence to support you?No. It's about evidence. At what point do you declare "I've looked at all the evidence". Claiming that there "nothing there" because there is no evidence he can see beyond our solar system derives the finding that there is nothing to be found in the entire Universe is childish at best.

I'm not convinced that science requires evidence be presented to disprove an assertion.
I think it works like this: There is no evidence presented to support the assertion, so the assertion may be disregarded.
