Question for the Sunday panels: is the sudden explosion of interest in Brian Williams the latest shiny object to distract us from the Obama Prayer Breakfast comment?

Actually, both stories are heavily discussed even among the Left.
It appears Williams may be quietly negotiating a buyout with Comcast (who now owns NBC Universal) from his NBC News contract, probably similar to what Conan O'Brien did with his buyout from the contract to host The Tonight Show back in 2010. My guess is that the buyout could be as high as US$25 million.

My question as well. The Brian Williams lies could just as easily be called embellishment or some other euphemism to describe creative truth management. From what I have read, Williams was self aggrandizing. His fantasies do not begin to compare to the half truths, misleading truths, deceit, lying in dozens of ways, by the media and the whole Obama administration which they engage in every time their mouths are open. I wonder what agenda is being served or advanced with the outing of Williams at this particular time. He has been well paid to be a part of the lying media so no tears for his welfare. As long as they are going after the Katrina reporting by Williams, there are others who also went hysterical with misinterpretation of actual events. Out them as well, along with the celebrities and national figures who pretended to believe the worst tales and have never retracted any of it.
The media as it exists today has their fingers crossed whenever it speaks or writes or communicates with the public on any given subject. Americans have to stay skeptical.
