There is no way to take over the Repub Party. It is a fortress in the inner circle that cannot and will not change. They believe they should be one onion skin to the Right of the Dems to win and that is never going to change.

You may be right. What scares me is taking a chance on a third party and letting the commie-dems "finish" destroying the country in the process.

How many years have the conservatives been attempting just that? AT LEAST since the 2010 election, and we have gotten no where. TIME FOR A NEW APPROACH, and that has to be to relegate the establishment GOP to third party status. When people tell me that conservatives cannot run as independents, I always remind them of Joe Liberman, Bernie Sanders, Angus King, Gregorio Sablan, James Jeffords, Dean Barkley, and Virgil Goode all of recent fame who caucused with the RAT party, except for one minor exception.

I say it is time for a new party and not as a turd party status but rather the alternative to the party of MARX.
