FCC Commissioner EXPOSES Obama Net Neutrality plan, BLASTING him for hiding it from American people
The Right Scoop ^ | Feb 6, 2015

FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai released a statement on Obama’s Net Neutrality plan to regulate the internet and blasted Obama for not releasing the plan publicly.

Last night, Chairman Wheeler provided his fellow Commissioners with President Obama’s 332-page plan to regulate the Internet. I am disappointed that the plan will not be released publicly. The FCC should be as open and transparent as the Internet itself and post the entire document on its website. Instead, it looks like the FCC will have to pass the President’s plan before the American people will be able to find out what’s really in it.

...

First, resident Obama’s plan marks a monumental shift toward government control of the Internet:

It gives the FCC the power to micromanage virtually every aspect of how the Internet works. It’s an overreach that will let a Washington bureaucracy, and not the American people, decide the future of the online world. It’s no wonder that net neutrality proponents are already bragging that it will turn the FCC into the “Department of the Internet.” For that reason, if you like dealing with the IRS, you are going to love the President’s plan.

Second, resident Obama’s plan to regulate the Internet will increase consumers’ monthly broadband bills:

The plan explicitly opens the door to billions of dollars in new taxes on broadband. Indeed, states have already begun discussions on how they will spend the extra money. These new taxes will mean higher prices for consumers and more hidden fees that they have to pay.

Third, resident Obama’s plan to regulate the Internet will mean slower broadband for American consumers:

Who is going to stop it? Congress has implicitly granted him the authority to rule by Fiat so long as he doesn’t do something terribly disruptive immediately.

Unless I'm mistaken the FCC has no Constitutional authority to pass or enact any law or regulation that hasn't first passed both houses of Congress.

Now you can blame everything that happens on the Republicans because they have the power to stop it but will not.

No they won’t. The stupid sheeple who elected him will praise everything he’s done, no matter how badly it affects their lifestyle.

The sad truth is that 90% or more of people are against this.

I can find about 1 in 10 people that think this is a good idea.

The people that are for this are the lying corrupt politicians and the lying corrupt politicians.

See they don’t like it when the truth gets out. These b@stards are pure evil.

Exactly!

They have no legal authority to circumvent the law or rights.

Why in the heck are a few dirt bags allowed so much power. They all need to be thrown out on their filthy corrupt lying asses!

What is going on now is not a debate about Net Neutrality or not Net Neutrality—it’s a debate over what degree of infringing on Net Neutrality will people accept without it sparking riots. --Tom Bradley, "Why FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai Is Wrong About Netflix And Net Neutrality"

No win situation. We have one of the worst internet infrastructure, speeds and prices in the Western world. Prices keep going up for nothing in return, service is terrible, customer service is handled by bots and third world call centers. Speeds are s-l-o-w. There are now “data caps” that 7 years ago would have been laughed at. You may be charged in the near future for looking at websites like Youtube. What would the FCC do to the internet? Tax everything that carries more than a few KB in broadband.

“FCC has no Constitutional authority”

My, you have such quaint, old-fashioned thinking.

Revelation 13:16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

This is incredibly important since much of our current commerce is conducted using the internet

That used to count for something. But we're exiting the post-Constitutional era and entering the post-law era.

The only way that I can make sense of why the Republicants are caving to every whim of Obama is this verse...

Revelation 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Because the Republicants have no faith, integrity, or moral courage God is giving them over to Obama. God help the rest of us!

If prices go up, I will be getting richer because I will have to unplug from the net. The monthly fee will then go back into MY pocket.

I unplugged from TV years ago, saved thousands!

I may only be one person but that’s OK. The money is still in MY pocket and not someone elses.
