I lost my care and concern for him and his family at the exact same spot. I quit reading the article - anyone too stupid to know who his friends are is not someone I am excited to see come here and help the continued ruination of our country. And my feelings have nothing to do with race, culture or religion, everything to do with their stupidity.
Have to agree with you there.
A lot of people who leave a bad situation are the types that to me want to be coddled and cared for, they don’t want to really see a lot of things through. Now, I’m not advocating being a passive doormat to abuse, but this family does not sound like people who have learned a hard lesson and will be better people.
I think you have put your finger on how our nation’s universities use guilt to exploit our nation’s youth in their war on Capitalism.

In fairness the Jews in Britain are not as firmly wedded to the Labour Party as the Jews of America are to the Democrats.
Since the time of Thatcher, who represented the heavily Jewish constituency of Finchley in North London, the Jews, well those in the business community (we’ll leave aside the entertainment industry and academia) have backed the Conservatives. Maggie had many Jews in her cabinet including Keith Joseph (who taught her monetary economics) and Nigel Lawson and Leon Britton among many others.
I can well imagine that a self-employed businessman in a city like Manchester as Mr Gould is would be a die-hard Conservative voter and especially so since the Labour Party in most northern British cities these days target the Muslim vote.
Even in the entertainment industry things are changing, the article mentions an interview by popular British actress Maureen Lipmann who herself has recently said she might quit the UK and who had no qualms about blaming the Labour Party for many of the difficulties British Jews face.
He will be surprised at the anti-Semitism he encounters at Berkeley.
Won't be long and Christians will be saying that about the U.S. once the county has been turned over to the Muslims.
I’ll admit to being poisoned by the gun-grabbing, blind Democrat support, of Jews in the US. I did poke around a bit to see if Britain was different - got mixed results. One result was that they tended to split evenly, another was that they were on Labor’s side, until Thatcher. We’ll likely never know for sure - there just aren’t enough of them to be a major force.

The million figure actually comes from a recent report that states that up to a million people in the UK could be victims of sexual abuse.
BUT that report stated that the figure is going back to at least 1970, and also not surprisingly that the vast majority of victims were abused by their own families: fathers, uncles, aunts etc. Of course, as terrible as a million people is, it dosent make as much as headline when its over 40+ years. And that paedo gangs and roaming paedos arent those doing 95% of the abuse.
Thats why I dont both with the likes of Geller.
p.s the lady MP mentioned this week helped organise an antiUKIP demo and thought it ‘hilarious’ that Nigel Farage was trapped inside a building by raving left loonies.

I try to give Freepers a genuine balanced idea of the UK, as do Winniesboy, Vanders, Naturalman and PotatoheadMick. A fair idea without blind denial but also without hysteria.
99% of Freepers inc you go on what you read here or see on Fox or hear on talk radio. ALL from media that isnt British and frankly knows very little about the UK. If it wasnt for me, and the small group of British and Irish freepers, frankly you and others would believe a lot of utter rubbish about the UK.
SO I will not ever apologise or stop posting here about the UK. After all, its MY country, not yours. So I have more right than you to pass comment/correct myths about the country I love.

My geographic and demographic knowledge of England is minimal. Could it be that in certain areas or regions this would be more accurate than in others?
The variances here in the US can be quite dramatic.
So then, does the Daily Telegraph article reflect the truth about being Jewish in UK, or doesn’t it?
Maybe in some of the Midland cities, Manchester ,Leeds ,Leicester,Bradford, Birmingham, etc, this does hold some water.
But as for the rest of the country ,this sounds like hypersensitive hysteria on their part.
Even in major Jewish cities (London, Manchester etc), the UK this family says is happening isnt.
I am of course nor denying there may be some antisemitism (on that note read on to my next paragraph), but the FACTS are that the UK was last year found by the world’s foremost antisemitism study group (the ADL) to be the 6th LEAST antisemitic nation on earth, ONE AHEAD of the US!. So we are actually LESS antisemitic than the United States......yet people here are reading this and thinking/saying the UK is a country with a serious antisemitism problem.
NOT TRUE. The UK and the US are two of the best countries for Jews to live in, as they have been for many decades.
Another BIG factor is where antisemitism and anti-israelism (or criticism of Israel) are lumped together. I hate that, its lazy and disingenous. One is a faith and race of people, one is a political state. Its no more ‘antisemitic’ ot criticise Israel than being unable to abide Obama makes me ‘racist’.
Also, we take this family and story in isolation. Do we know what they are like?. Are they people who see any criticism of Israel as evidence of ‘antisemitism’?. You have plenty of blacks, gays and hispanics, as we do, who will jump on th slightest thing as ‘evidence’ of whatever ‘phobia’ they want. Its the curse of living in PC times.

UK antisemitism (and again we are talking REAL antisemitism) has been always on the fringes of UK society: racist groups like the BNP, neo-nazi thugs, or now sadly some more extreme Muslims.
Far from being some terrible country hating Jews, the UK is in fact an open country where millions of people with Jewish ancestry and faith live safe and where the Jewish faith is respected and celebrated.
British TV on all five main network channels made primetime Jewish documentaries on Jewish life, culture and religion in 2012 and 2013. Did NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, the WB etc?. The UK is a nation where the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition and many top politicians are proudly and openly of Jewish/part-Jewish descent. The UK is a nation where the daily religious thought for the day on the nation’s iconic BBC intellectual radio channel (Radio 4) is usually spoken by a Rabbi.
Amen to sentence two. On the first, if it does exist and is sadly increasing, then we know the people in those cities who are doing it. And its not James, Nigel, Hamish or Dai.
I guess I get angry here because I will not allow the native British people/non-Muslim immigrants and the majority of Brits to be blamed for the actions of a minority within an ethnic minority. When non-UK people read the UK is ‘antisemitic’, they will see a nation of white native British in hatred. And thats a lie.
I quite like Manchester.
Once a grimy northern industrial city, it was reborn in the late 80’s and 90’s as a bustling city, with redeveloped areas, great nightlife, shops and food.
