The news media knew that Brian Williams had been lying all these years. The people on that flight with him from nbc knew, the tape shot that day proved that he was lying.
The stories he kept telling just got more and more outrageous.
I suspect that someone had enough of this pompous windbag and released the Katrina story and the Iraq stories to get rid of him.
Not to mention what it did to Brian Whopper’s pretty hair.
This might explain why NBC has a truth problem... remember the doctored Zimmerman tapes? If the people at the top are liars that ‘sensibility’ filters down through the ranks. Brian needs to be put in an entertainment slot - if he’s not removed all together...
The last thing the news industry needs is another high placed liar... NBC should pay him off and let him resign... with implications that he would have been fired if he hadn't resigned.
It’s been reported that NBC execs. Knew the story was bogus and had told Lyon Brian to clam up years ago. I would guess the Film crew had a smedgin more integrity and were the ones that leaked the truth back in the day. I doubt anyone in the Military bothered to watch the NBC Nightly news, otherwise this would have broke earlier.
Send them an email. Williams needs to be fired.

and being an hour away from a helo that was hit is just LYING for BW own benefit.
IF NBC doesn't fire BW they will never have any credibility any more.
Actually, it was right before he (NBC) doctored the tapes of George Zimmerman!
