Pope Francis has decried the “inhuman” conditions facing migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border and has encouraged communities there not to judge people by stereotypes but welcome migrants and work to end discrimination.

Francis made the appeal in a letter to a Jesuit priest who helps organize Catholic teens in Nogales, Arizona, to support the Kino Border Initiative, which advocates a more humane solution to migration. The letter was dated Dec. 19 but was made public on Kino’s website recently. […]

Francis has made migration one of the priorities of his pontificate and will likely raise the issue when he visits the U.S. in September. On Thursday, U.S. officials confirmed he would address Congress on Sept. 24, the first pope to do so. …

Better yet, sell some of those expensive jewels in the Vatican and build them homes.

You beat me to it.

How ‘bout they quit encouraging socialism so these people won’t have to flee their countries to find toilet paper?

Hopefully all of the Republicans will be “too busy” to attend when he gets up before Congress to pimp Cap and Tax and the illegal alien invasion of the United States.

If the Pope really feels this way then the Catholic church, one of the WEALTHIEST in the world, should consider building Comfort Inn's every 3 miles all along the MEXICAN side of the border.

Oh.. and they should be completely free to those checking in because the Pope is comping everyone who checks in.

This guy is NOT a Pope but a LIBERAL masquerading as a religious leader.

My thought also.

Complain about the US, but say nothing of Islam slaughtering Christians. Attack Protestants, but cozy up to muslims.

This guy is either nuts or evil.

In case you haven’t noticed, Mexico has been governed by atheistic Freemason Marxists for about 150 years. The U.S. backed the Freemason Marxists against the Catholics in the 1920’s. And the Pope told the Catholics to lay down their arms. Francis could start by apologizing for the mistakes of Pius XI.

Until Bergoglio has criticized the Marxist kleptocratic governments of Central and South America, he can shove his criticisms of the U.S.

The shark has officially been jumped. I was willing to give this pope the benefit of the doubt but not after this. Does it ever occur to these illegal alien supporters that these “inhumane” conditions are the result of them illegally coming to this country. ANd once they cross they are given, courtesy of the US taxpayer, free goodies. I fail to see the inhumane treatment.

Conditions are MUCH better for them in Central America and Mejico, from whence they came.

So go the hell back to your own damned country, that’s what I’d pontificate. Wouldn’t you agree, Francis, you papal fruitcake?

If the Pope wants to talk about inhumane conditions, he should look at the wholesale slaughter of Christians in the middle east.

That may be just a tad bit more dire circumstances.

Mexico was founded as a Catholic nation and it is still a Catholic nation, all of the Latin countries are.

Mexico has always been a hell-hole.

This man is singlehandedly destroying the entire concept of papal infallibility.
****************************
The Catholic church never claims that popes are infallible on matters outside of religon. This one is sure off the reservation.

Hey, Holy Father, How about maybe if Mexicans would put just half the energy into fixing their country, you know, the God gave them, that they they do into destroying mine then maybe someday Mexico won’t be a place they have to run away from. And while you’re at it, how about telling them to stop having a dozen or so kids apiece.

The Pope lives in the ultimate gated community far away and far above the messes he is advocating. Same as Jeb (honorary Hispanic) Bush
