Pope: ‘Inhuman’ conditions for migrants on US-Mexico border
Associated Press ^ | Feb 5, 2015 2:34 PM EST | Nicole Winfield

Pope Francis has decried the “inhuman” conditions facing migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border and has encouraged communities there not to judge people by stereotypes but welcome migrants and work to end discrimination.

Francis made the appeal in a letter to a Jesuit priest who helps organize Catholic teens in Nogales, Arizona, to support the Kino Border Initiative, which advocates a more humane solution to migration. The letter was dated Dec. 19 but was made public on Kino’s website recently. […]

Francis has made migration one of the priorities of his pontificate and will likely raise the issue when he visits the U.S. in September. On Thursday, U.S. officials confirmed he would address Congress on Sept. 24, the first pope to do so. …

The Mexicans are mostly catholic.
So why do the Mexicans treat other Mexicans so badly?

I ain’t catholic, but some of my family are, and I’m
getting pretty tired of hearing from their “pope guy”.

By all means, take them all into the Vatican City.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Maybe then we should build a wall to protect the migrants from facing “inhumane” conditions.

And whose religious philosophy is the Central American governments founded on?

Pondering your question, I can think of many destitute countries in the Western Hemisphere that are predominantly Roman Catholic.
Haiti heads the list.

Upon further consideration, even Santeria has RC roots. Hmmm.

Although I'm not Catholic, many in my paternal family are/were, as well as my ex-husband's family.
I don't agree with their dogma, but I did respect the religion in general, and that's fading fast.
Maybe the pontiff is just getting the faithful up to (socialist/liberal) speed.

Build the fence and stop the soft slavery of illegal immigrant workers

The estimates on the numbers are that there's between 11m and 40m illegal aliens in the US, given that the population is 316m this gives us a range of 3.5% to 12.7% of the population being illegal aliens — how much would it need to be considered an invasion? Moreover, how much is the "they will overwhelm us" point? 20%? (That's 1 in 5.) 25%? (That's 1 in 4.)

Simply put, a fence is inadequate; here's my proposal from another thread:

If no additional illegals come into the country, that would stop the flow, which is the real problem.

Wikipedia on the US/Mexico border:

The border's total length is 1,954 mi, according to figures given by the International Boundary and Water Commission. It is the most frequently crossed international border in the world, with approximately 350 million legal crossings being made annually.
[…]
There are an estimated half a million illegal entries into the United States each year.

Wikipedia on the Paladin:

Crew:                     6
Effective firing range:  11 mi
Operational range:      216 mi
So to cover the border we'd need 1,954 / 22 ≈ 89 Paladins… but that's an under-count because that would entail butting them directly on the border. We would actually want them back a bit.
c² = b² + a²
11²  = 5.5² + a²
121 = 30.25 + a²
90.75 = a²
9.5 ≈ a
So, we could put them 5.5 mi away from the border, allowing them to cover 19 mi of border; this would mean that we'd need 1,954 / 19 ≈ 103 paladins [103 * 6 = 618 men].
Or, we could put them 9.5 mi away from the border, allowing them to cover 11 mi of border; this would mean that we'd need 1,954 / 11 ≈ 178 paladins [178 * 6 = 1,068 men].
(Of course we'd need logistics to support them: meals, munitions, mail, etc.)

See, securing the border is not as hard as they make it out to be.

That's the proper response to invasion.

Hey pops! What makes you think that the freeloading illegal alien invaders are America’s problem? You need to take that crap up with el Presidente down in Mexico and those other commie dictators in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Maybe they’ll give you a bunch of their illegals to take back home with you.

Pope Francis has kept a very low profile while thousands of Christian are been slaughtered daily by Islamic terrorist.

It is preposterous Pope Francis’ critique of the treatment given to the millions of illegal migrants that violates the sovereignty of United States where they receive a much more humane treatment than those prevailing in their countries of origin, to the extreme that they are free to demand rights here that they dare to reclaim in their own countries.

Pope Francis, a follower of the Marxist Liberation theology who has proudly called himself the Che Guevara of the Palestinian people, puts ahead his political agenda over the care of the Catholic faithful.

Francis is a white version of Obama, he embraces the hoax of the global warming, and concocted the Obama/Castro pact in Hell giving a damn about the Cuban people who has been suffering for 56 years the most brutal regime in the history of this hemisphere. The love and charity of Pope Francis do not extend to the enslaved Cuban people under an Stalinist regime.

The Church is systematically destroyed by Francis following a parallel path as Obama’s destruction of the U.S.
