Rev. Graham to Obama: Unlike Christ, Mohammed ‘Killed Many Innocent People'
CNSNews ^ | Feb. 5 2015 | Michael W. Chapman

In response to President Barack Obama drawing a parallel between the barbaric acts of the Islamic State today with actions by Christians during the Crusades, which ended 700 years ago, evangelist Franklin Graham said there was a difference between Jesus Christ who “taught peace “ and did “not take life” versus Mohammed, who “was a warrior and killed many innocent people.”

Reverend Graham further said that, “True followers of Christ emulate Christ – true followers of Mohammed emulate Mohammed.”

President Obama made his remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday in Washington, D.C. He referenced the Islamist attacks on a school in Pakistan and in Paris – without using the words radical Islam – and he described the Islamic State, or ISIL, as “a brutal vicious death cult that, in the name of religion, carries out unspeakable acts of barbarism.”

Obama shortly thereafter said, “And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.” ...

“Mohammad on the contrary was a warrior and killed many innocent people,” said Rev. Graham. “True followers of Christ emulate Christ—true followers of Mohammed emulate Mohammed.”...

The fact that Islam and Christianity are polar opposites in theology and the way to live your life, indicates for me that Mohammed was the anti-Christ. Or if not, the proto anti-Christ.

“Oh, Mother Teresa? How wonderful she was! “How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.” Wisdom and kindness from above!”

I miss Mother Teresa.

Mullah Baraq would just as soon have Dr. Graham’s head on a pike.

So do I. The whole world misses her, whether they realize it or not.

When I hear about Obama lecturing everybody else on how humble and serving they’re supposed to be.... and then think of Mother Teresa who actually lived humility and service... I do miss her, a lot.

“Yep. It makes it really clear what people like Al-Sisi of Egypt are up against. They know that Islam needs to condemn all those things - but how do you condemn those things without also condemning the “prophet” you’re supposed to bless every time you mention his name?”

I agree. Instead of calling Islam a religion of peace, we need to be more honest at what it really is. I think a lot of the so called moderates do not really believe in Islam, but they can’t admit it. If they did, they would be an apostate and could be murdered be other Muslims.

I’ve known religious and moderate Muslims. Most of the ones I’ve known have been good people. One of the religious ones told us that most of the people at his Mosque were happy about 9/11. This man would not have hurt anyone on his own, but he was a true believer and if he had been ordered by an Imam to kill non-believers, I think he would have done it.

That is a great point and a clever argument. Don’t get sucked into comparing doctrinal stuff or the historical actions of believers. Instead just compare the central figures — Jesus versus Mohammed. That cuts right to the heart of it and avoids a thousand ways they can dodge the point.

Every time I hear Franklin Graham I think more of him. I will hear him on the radio and I love to hear him speak. The man is not afraid of the truth.

The Rev. Billy Graham is a treasure to this world. So is Rev. Franklin Graham.

Just watched excerpts on Crowder and noticed that after using the royal “we” alot, Obama slips and says “you” at when negatively referencing CHristians, and then catches himself and goes back to saying “we.” That happens at the 2:10 mark in the video.

AMEN! There are many people who have committed atrocities in the name of Christ, but that doesn’t mean they were true believers. There is a HUGE difference between those who claim the name of CHrist and those who FOLLOW after Christ. Churches today are filled with MANY who claim the name, but are not living the life of Christ in way, means or fashion. They say they are Christian b/c they go to church when or if they go, and do not believe in Mohammed or other gods. But while some followers of Mohammed are peaceful, they are becoming the minority quickly, and when forced to obey, they do.

But his arguments don’t make a dent in liberal and muzzie thinking.
