The article doesn’t give a link to the page for this. I’ve looked it over and they seem to be more with the Israel-Palestinian negotiation process than with Netanyahu’s defeat. Now, politically, the negotiations are different with Netanyahu than this organization, for sure ... but they are dealing with an ISSUE and not specifically with one politician.

My guess is the author is thinking that funds are fungible.
Israeli politics are much more complex than USA politics.
Its more about forming alliances and then forming a governing body.
I don’t fully understand it but the Israeli’s do not trust the religious right so they are more inclined to support the non-religious left.
It is this non-religious left which has deep connections within the State Dept and the UN who want to get rid of Bibi.
Behind the scene, the old remnant of the PLO is using its connections to forge this alliance of the Left, State Dept and the UN.
No matter what you hear, it is the followers of Yasser Arafat who is running this operation.
