Here’s what the GOP establishment really thinks of the new House Freedom Caucus

Roll Call reports:

The House Freedom Caucus is only a few weeks old, but some members say the new conservative faction is already pulling the House Republican Conference to the right. Before the HFC convened a single meeting, it so complicated the GOP debate on a proposed border security bill that leadership eventually had to pull the measure from the floor…

The HFC could be a real thorn in leadership’s side. The group is already claiming victory in what was shaping up to be an intraparty showdown over Texas Rep. Michael McCaul’s border security bill.

The bill was purportedly pulled because of the weather, but is conspicuously not on the schedule this week, with no commitment from leaders that the House will ever take it up.

It’s an early bit of obstructionist momentum that worries some mainstream Republicans, who fear the faction is less about imparting a conservative vision and more about preventing anything from getting done.

Here’s what at least one Republican aide thinks of the House Freedom Caucus, and presumably this person is not alone among GOP establishment types:

“They’re not legislators, they’re just assholes,” a senior GOP aide told CQ Roll Call. “These guys have such a minority mindset that the prospect of getting something done just scares them away, or pisses them off…”

The aide said the HFC — a collection of “the craziest of the crazy…”

This new House faction is a breath of fresh air who can potentially hold leadership’s feet to the fire on key conservative issues. For an establishment that resents being made to keep their campaign promises, apparently this means being “crazy” or “a**holes.”

We here at the GOPe want open borders for unrestricted immigration, more visas for foreign tech workers, keep Obama care in place, cut corporate taxes, and shelter income for the elite. We plan to reach across the aisle to make deals, give the Obama administration everything they want with token opposition, and make sure government manages the masses securing the dominate position of the new aristocracy.
We will shut down any conservatives and make sure those small government,2nd amendment, and anti abortion rubes are shuffled to the sidelines. We would like to thank the yokels for giving us both houses of Congress but the Republican Party is a top down organization so we’ll take it from here. You just keep sending your checks and come out to vote in November and let the people who know best run things. We know our base voter is ignorant and prone to religious superstition so we’ll pat you on the head every election and tell you we’ll try to represent you. We then will go back to getting things done in Washington for the people who really matter and trust us it ain’t you.

Mostly because they don't want to get anything with a conservative vision done.
